Tonight I come to you with no specific idea of what I'm about to write. This is my first completely spontaneous blog since I've started writing to all you lovely readers, and I hope it won't end up being so boring you press the back button!
A thought occurred to me a few days ago, while I was sitting day dreaming in maths- I am probably the only person in this room with my own blog, website and app in development! It gave me goosebumps and it still does just recalling it. But isn't that completely crazy?! Every single one of those people in that room could just have easily made this amazing platform, yet none of them did (to my knowledge anyway!). We're in the height of our youth; why do so many teenagers not make the most of it? Right now I'm SIXTEEN! I have my whole life in front of me! I can do whatever I want! The possibilities are endless...
I often feel that teenagers can easily feel stuck. I do, anyway. And it's hard not to, when you're restricted by the harsh boundaries of school. I mean, how can we begin to climb to our dreams, when we have to fit in school, homework, all the extra curricular activities we have to do in order to get a place in university, sports, hobbies and enough sleep, into 24 measles hours! Not to mention the stress and expectations placed upon us everyday! It seems impossible!
But guess what.
I'm doing it. I'm working towards my dreams, by writing these blogs twice a week and building an app! All you have to do is make a conscious decision to start. Start now. And if you don't know where, pick something you've always wanted to do and just do it! Start writing that book! Start learning French! Start saving to travel the world; planning your entrepreneurial business; training for that marathon!
If you say you don't have time now, you never will. If you say your too young, one day you'll wake up and be 75 and still haven't started on your dreams. Your older today than you ever have been. You're as young as you ever will be again. It's time.
Fill everyday with useful and beautiful things. Watch amazing documentaries that interest you; do hobbies that make your heart sing; spend time with people you love and meet new people! Whatever you do, do it now.
This blog has exploded with passion in a matter of seconds!
It went a lot deeper than I intended it to be, but I meant every word of it. It frustrates me that I can't always get where I want to in life, and I hope this inspired you to get there. It certainly inspired me by writing it!
Well, until Sunday, I'm forever
Yours Sincerely x
