I bet none of you would know that I am actually a theatre kid. I love, love, love Musicals and I try to live on stage as much as I can. Singing and dancing to show stopping songs is my favourite thing to do because it leaves me on a complete high and it's a joy to be in a different world. The songs in musicals are really important to the plot and so they are little stories in a larger one. I'm sure you all have your favourite songs from musicals and today I'm going to spill the tea on mine.
This is a lovely one because the lyrics are just so empowering. It really is the cliché and the first song that came to my mind. Elpheba has just decided to leave Glinda and she knows she can fly alone!
next is the haunting whispering from Spring awakening. I love this song not only because the fabulous Lea Michele plays Wendla but because it has a vivid story and strong emotion.
Wow. That took far longer than I know you will spend looking at it but we have to do anything for the aesthetics. I kind of want to give you a brief history of my love for theatre. I've always been in love with performing in everyway and from no age I've been singing as sandy or as Cinderella. Everyone has that one moment which stands out as special to them when performing. The first proper show I was in was Oliver and it just made me fall in love with bouncing on stage as whatever character I am.
I'm kind of deciding now if music theatre is something I would want to do professionally but here in Ireland it is so, so difficult to get your big break. I know though that, when I'm performing, if I perform with all my heart, whether I'm centre stage or at the back, I'll be living my dream.
So maybe I will grace the west end stage some day or perhaps I'll just do a show or two to fulfil my passion. We'll soon see where I'll end up But wherever I go, I'll go with all my heart and love every moment.
